SpaceX Starship Super Heavy destacked for grid fin repairs now poised for a historic launch this Saturday the 18th 2023 between 7:00 AM to 7:20 AM CST from Starbase Texas at Boca Chica.
Just after 3:30 PM Wed. November 15th stacking operations started for Starship S25 & B9 which were completed in around 40 minutes. This will be the 2nd orbital launch attempt for the state of Texas. The pre launch testing campaigns for both B9 and S25 have been pretty successful giving hope to a better, longer orbital launch attempt for Starship Test Flight #2 on Friday the 17th than what occured with the first test flight back on April 20th 2023. Multiple engines failed after liftoff on test flight #1 which then caused a circular rotating spin and the need to terminate the flight over the Gulf of Mexico waters much earlier than had been hoped for.
SpaceX just announced the launch attempt on Friday the 17th is now delayed due to the need to destack the vehicle for a grid fin repair and now targeting a 20 minute window on Saturday the 18th of November 2023 Starting at 7:00 AM local time.
