ContactScott Schilke a Florida resident from 1969 has been a racing photographer from 1971 to 2017 becoming a credentialed media photographer in 2011 to 2017 for NASCAR, Indy Car & IMSA. He still maintains an amazing collection of vintage historic NASCAR & IMSA sports car images of race cars, teams and drivers back in the day. He has donated photos to racing museums all across America.
In 2017 to present he turned his sights on the difficult, complex and exciting world of rocket launch photography becoming a credentialed media press photographer with NASA, SpaceX, ULA and the 45th U.S. Space Wing. He has set remote cameras on all four active launch pads at Cape Kennedy / Canaveral and two inactive pads along with launch pads at NASA Wallops Island Virginia and SpaceX Starbase Boca Chica Texas.
Beside rocket launches he is an avid storm chaser in the great plains and will chase lightning storms anywhere in the United States when time allows.
In 2022 Scott was awarded the prestigious F.E.P.A Florida Excellence in Photographic Arts by the FCCC Florida Camera Club Council and is a previous winner of photographer of the year for the Naples Camera Club.
His works have been published by the BBC hard back book "The Cool 500" and aired numerous times on the Weather Channel, NBC, CBS, ABC Ft. Myers television stations and local news papers.
