With just six minutes left in this mornings SpaceX Starlink 6-9 launch window liftoff did occur at 1:17 AM Friday morning 8-11-23 from SLC-40 Cape Canaveral Florida. Heavy overcast skies continued to slowly clear as the T-0 pushed from 9:55 PM Thursday to 1:17 AM Friday. Another SpaceX milestone was achieved today with the first eleven flight of a fairing half.
I'm thankful for long Starlink launch windows at night during Florida summertime thunderstorm season because it made a huge difference on the streak shot.
First stage booster B-1069 made its 9th flight and safely landed on JRTI drone ship down range in the Bahamas. Twenty two additional Starlink v.2 satellites are now heading to their final orbital position in the SpaceX constellation.
